About Us
Lalit initially intended to be an actor. But, his parents wanted him to be an entrepreneur. He had been into a lot of plays and theatre activities since his college days. He even joined the country's top theatre college, National School of Drama, that enabled him to bag some career-boosting awards. It is his exploring and imaginative attitude towards art, which made him believe that it takes creativity to be an actor as well as a designer. And as he was destined to be reaching the heart of haute couture, he did his designing from JD Institute of Designing in 2005.
He has a stimulating zest for life, which is why he dedicates himself to his family, friends, and team. He is a sheer realist, an enthusiast, and an escapade who loves traveling and socializing.
He doesn't consider himself a designer but a creator who just doesn't want to make pretty clothes; instead, he wants to make every woman feel the urban goddess. His inspirations are endless and can be drawn from anything & everything.
His label is synonymous with opulent, contemporary Indian and Indo-Western wear. His intention has been to create glamorous ensembles with traditional textures, embroideries, and craftsmanship with modern designs. He experiments around unusual fabrics and textures to create a masterpiece that takes us back to the Victorian and Mughal periods.
He continues to create spectacular collections under his label and is one of Brides's most coveted designers by taking luxury to the zenith. Lalit himself attributes his groups as 'Clothes with an international styling with an Indian soul.' Dalmia has excelled grandly in the art of couture. Lalit's creations targeted to the elegant Indian women are loaded with a rich blend of traditional and exuberant modern silhouettes. Infusing design influences from Victorian, Mughal, and romanticist has been a trait with the Delhi-based designer. For the glamorous and sophisticated fusion of distinctive traditional and modern designs with the stroke of silent, classy and reserved attitude, the designer uses a color palette which makes one feel nostalgic about our intricate and ancient eras in history.
